How to Install Deckster(TM)
The Deckster bracket installs in 5 easy steps.
| 1. Attach the Deckster bracket to starting end of each joist. Alternate sides of joist with each ensuing strip; |  |

2. Make certain that the bracket is flat on the joist and then nail it through every second hole on the side edge. Use 1.5" galvanized nails; |
| 3. Lay a deck board across the newly installed bracket and joist starting at the house edge. It is important to finish each board before adding another one. Reaching underneath the board with drill and screw, drive two screws into each board at every joist through the aligned angled holes in the bracket. |  |

4. Deckster brackets can easily be cut with tin snips when shorter pieces are required.
While kneeling on top of the deck, continue to attach the deck boards. Attach the next set of brackets on opposite or alternate sides of the joist
in the same manner until completion. 5. On the first and last joint forming the outside of the frame, the Deckster strip is attached to the inside of the joist making the brackets visible when completed.
